In an exciting match on April 3, 2025, during the African Women’s Club Championship 2025, APR WVC defeated CFC from Tunisia in a remarkable four-set game. The tournament is taking place in Nigeria, where the Rwandan teams, APR WVC and Police WVC, are placed in different groups.
APR WVC continued to showcase their skills in the competition, starting strong against CFC and winning in four sets:
Set 1: CFC WVC defeated APR WVC 25-18.
Set 2: APR WVC defeated CFC WVC 26-24.
Set 3: APR WVC defeated CFC WVC 25-23.
Set 4: APR WVC defeated CFC WVC 25-22.
This victory strengthened APR WVC’s position in Group A, where they are competing against other strong teams such as CFC from Tunisia, NCS from Nigeria, and MKE from Cameroon.
APR WVC will continue their journey in the championship, while Police WVC is set to play against Kenya Pipeline on April 4, 2025, at 18:00 Nigeria time (19:00 Rwanda time).
Both teams, POLICE WVC and APR WVC, will return to Kigali on April 14, 2025, where they will face off in the final playoff match to determine the champion of the 2025 Women’s Volleyball Championship.
