Rapper Hagenimana Jean Paul, known as Bushali, is in deep sorrow after losing his mother, who passed away on the night of January 14, 2025, after battling an illness for several days.
Bushali shared his emotional pain with his followers, posting a photo showing tears and writing the word “mama,” accompanied by more tears as he expressed the profound grief caused by the loss of his mother.
A close friend and music advisor of the artist confirmed the sad news to Sound of Africa, acknowledging that it is true that Bushali’s mother has passed away, although he did not wish to speak further on the matter due to the deep sadness. Other friends also mentioned that Bushali is devastated by the news, as he did not expect to lose his mother at this time, though they also confirmed she had been ill for some time.
However, up until now, Bushali has not said much about the passing of his mother, but reports indicate that she had been unwell for a while.
Bushali lost his mother just days after releasing his new album titled “Full Moon”, which expresses the joy of starting a new family life with his wife and two children, who were recently born. The rapper had recently shared that, aside from God’s guidance in his music, another crucial source of support for him is the prayers of his parents, especially his mother.
