In Gatsibo District, Ngarama Nursery School has emerged as a beacon of hope for vulnerable children and their families. Established by Nufashwa Yafasha Organization in collaboration with SpendeDirekt and other key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Education, the school addresses the educational needs of children from impoverished backgrounds.
Strength in Collaboration: The Importance of Ngarama Nursery School
Jean Paul BUJYACYERA, known as Gutermann Guter, founder of Nufashwa Yafasha Organization and a journalist at Isango Star Radio and TV, emphasized the school’s transformative mission: “We wanted to play a role in changing the lives of vulnerable children in this area. Establishing a nursery school was crucial because young children need a solid foundation in education to reach their potential.”
Ngarama Nursery School goes beyond academics; it instills core values such as patriotism and integrity, preparing children for successful futures.
Voices of Change: Feedback from Stakeholders
The director of SpendeDirekt, a primary sponsor of the school, praised the partnership with Nufashwa Yafasha for achieving significant educational improvements. “We believe that the children who study at this school will become future educators in their communities and throughout the country. Our mission is to strengthen this organization to achieve tangible educational outcomes, thereby supporting sustainable development,” he stated.
Mukandori Claudine, a parent of a student, shared her heartfelt experience: “Since my child started studying here, I have seen significant changes in how he speaks. He practices more at home, and he has developed a love for learning. This school is a blessing for us.”
The Future of Ngarama Nursery School
Looking ahead, Nufashwa Yafasha Organization aims to extend its reach to other districts in Rwanda, where many children still lack access to education. Jean Paul BUJYACYERA revealed plans for expansion, stating, “We have a vision to establish more schools in areas facing overcrowding and a lack of nursery schools.”
The ongoing emphasis on collaboration remains crucial in transforming the lives of vulnerable children and achieving educational goals grounded in strong partnerships and shared values.
