Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received Mr. Mikhail L. Bogdanov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, at Villa Somalia in Mogadishu on Sunday.
They discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation in security and economic sectors.
During the meeting, Mr. Bogdanov also conveyed an official invitation from President Putin to President Hassan Sheikh to attend the upcoming Russia–Arab League Summit.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has announced plans for a global summit involving Russia and the Arab League group of nations.
