As Rayon Sports Women’s Football Club prepares to compete in the CECAFA Women’s Champions League Qualifiers in Kenya, SKOL Ltd, the team’s main sponsor, has continued to demonstrate strong support by boosting both the team’s morale and finances.
On August 31, 2025, Rayon Sports WFC departed for Nairobi to represent Rwanda in this regional tournament. Before the team’s departure, players were promised a unique incentive by SKOL through the company’s liaison officer with the club, Mukandama Hardy. Each win in the tournament will earn the team 15 crates of SKOL beverages.
This gesture highlights SKOL’s commitment to the growth of women’s football in Rwanda and its continued support of Rayon Sports WFC as the club aims to secure a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Rayon Sports WFC will open their campaign against Ethiopia’s CBE FC, the defending champions, on September 4, 2025, at Nyayo Stadium. They will conclude the group stage on September 8 against Burundi’s Top Girls Academy at Ulinzi Stadium.
Out of the three groups in the tournament, the top team from each group, along with the best-performing second-place team, will advance to the semifinals. The winner of the competition will qualify to represent the region in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
