RRA VC Signs 4 Players in Preparation for the 2025/2026 Volleyball Championship

RRA Volleyball Club (RRA VC) has signed four new players and renewed contracts for two others as they prepare for the 2025/2026 Volleyball season set to begin on October 17, 2025.

The new players joining the team are Madut Abuk Wol Ngong from South Sudan, along with Rwandans Ndagijimana Nancy, Uwase Hygette, and Umuhuzanase Dior. Existing players Jennifer Tembo from Zimbabwe and Ukpabi Elisabeth Ijeoma from Nigeria have extended their contracts to continue playing for the team.

During the signing and welcoming ceremony, the President of RRA VC, Mr. Uwitonze Jean Paulin, praised all the players who chose to join the club and urged them to maintain good conduct and teamwork to bring pride and success to the team.

He said, “We encourage you to behave well and respect yourselves both on and off the court. If you prepare as one team and work together to fight for victory, there is no doubt you will win trophies.”

RRA VC’s head coach, Mutabazi Elie, expressed confidence in the team’s preparations, stating that the squad is better prepared than last season and that the new players will strengthen the team’s competitiveness.

He said, “We are conducting more advanced training sessions and I believe the new players will help us raise the team’s level and return to the strength we desire.”

The Volleyball Championship will start on October 17, 2025, with RRA VC playing its first match against Ruhango WVC, followed by a match against Police WVC on October 24. The first phase is expected to conclude on December 6, 2025, with RRA VC ending the round against APR WVC on December 5.

RRA VC is one of the leading and well-known teams in Rwanda, with over 17 years of experience and many trophies in its history, including the Memorial Kayumba Championships won in 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2022, as well as the NSSF KAVC 2024 trophy.
