As Rwanda prepares to host the Africa Handball Cup early next year, the national men’s team has appointed a new head coach from Tunisia, Hafedh Zouabi.
Zouabi has signed a two-year contract and has immediately begun working with the men’s team, which is intensifying preparations for the tournament scheduled to take place in Kigali from January 21 to 31, 2026.
In addition to coaching the men’s squad, Zouabi will also oversee the women’s national team. Training sessions for both teams are being held at Petit Stade in Remera, focusing on strengthening skills and tactical readiness ahead of the competition. The appointment was confirmed by the Rwanda Handball Federation (Ferwahand).
