Police VC in the men’s category and RRA WVC in the women’s category emerged as champions of the Climate Action Tournament after winning hard-fought finals and securing prize money worth Rwf 4 million.
The tournament, organized by the Rwanda Volleyball Federation in partnership with the Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), brought together different teams in Huye and Gisagara districts.

In the women’s category, RRA WVC claimed the title after defeating Police WVC 3-2. After winning the first two sets 26-24 and 25-22, RRA WVC faced strong resistance from Police WVC, which won the next two sets 25-15 and 25-23. However, RRA WVC secured victory in the deciding set, winning 15-11.

In the men’s category, Police VC won the title after defeating REG VC 3-2. REG VC had started strongly, taking the first two sets 25-19 and 25-18, but Police VC fought back to win the third and fourth sets 25-23 and 25-22 before sealing victory in the deciding set with a 15-11 win.

The finals were played at the Gisagara Indoor Arena, where both winning teams secured their titles after showing resilience in matches that went the full five sets.
Police VC and RRA WVC concluded the Climate Action Tournament as champions, receiving trophies and prize money of Rwf 4 million after progressing through qualification matches held in Gisagara and at the University of Rwanda’s Huye Campus.
