BK Arena to Host Bruce Melodie and BNXN in BAL Finals Celebration

Kigali, Rwanda — BK Arena will be the epicenter of a spectacular concert marking the grand finale of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), where Rwandan superstar Bruce Melodie will perform alongside Nigerian artist BNXN (formerly known as Buju) on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The concert will begin at 8 PM and continue until dawn, blending the excitement of music with the passion of basketball.

Fans attending the BAL games will gain free access to the concert by using their game tickets, creating a special celebration that combines sports and entertainment.

Bruce Melodie, one of Rwanda’s leading artists, continues to expand his international profile after signing with 1:55 AM Music, led by Coach Gael. He is expected to entertain the audience with an outstanding performance, just as he has done in previous major events.

He will be joined on stage by BNXN, one of Africa’s most celebrated musicians, who is returning to Kigali after a successful concert on December 24, 2024. He is known for hit songs like Finesse, Gwagwalada, and Italy, which have made him particularly popular among young audiences.

This concert is one of the key highlights of the BAL Playoffs and Finals, taking place in Kigali from May 17 to May 25, 2025. This marks the third consecutive year that Rwanda is hosting the final phase of the tournament, reflecting Kigali’s rising status as a hub for sports and entertainment in Africa.

Eight top-tier teams from across the continent, including Al Ahly (Egypt), AS Douanes (Senegal), APR BBC (Rwanda), and Cape Town Tigers (South Africa), are competing for the BAL championship in front of passionate fans at BK Arena.

Beyond the game itself, BAL continues to play a major role in developing African talent, empowering youth, and boosting tourism and business through large-scale events like this. The fusion of basketball and music has enhanced the experience for fans and helped raise Africa’s profile on the global stage.
