Senior executives from Dahabshil Bank and the wider Dahabshiil Group held a high-level meeting today with representatives from the UK Governmentโ€™s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), including Ambassador Charles King and Ambassador Louise Hancock.

The discussions focused on the role of major Somali-led companies in driving economic growth across the Horn of Africa. Key topics included expanding financial access for small and medium-sized enterprises, fostering job creation, and strengthening diaspora investment.

Dahabshiil Group, a leading financial services provider in the region, reaffirmed its commitment to deepening international partnerships that promote sustainable development and inclusive economic opportunities.

โ€œThe meeting reflects ongoing efforts to align private sector innovation with global development goals in fragile and emerging markets,โ€ said Abdirashid Duale, Group CEO of Dahabshiil.

The UK, through the FCDO, continues to engage with regional stakeholders as part of its broader strategy to support stability, economic resilience, and regional cooperation in East Africa.
