Rwanda’s national football team, Amavubi, has started a training camp in preparation for their upcoming matches against Benin and South Africa in the race for a spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The training camp kicked off this Sunday and is being held at Gorilla Hotel in Nyarutarama. The players who started the camp include Manzi Thierry, Mugisha Bonheur, Bizimana Djihad, Mutsinzi Ange, Buhake Clement, and Nshimiyimana Emmanuel ‘Kabange’.
More players are expected to join the camp today, including Biramahire Abeddy, Kaphita Phanuel Mabaya, Mugisha Gilbert, Muhire Kevin, Nshuti Innocent, Ntwari Fiacre, Imanishimwe Emmanuel ‘Magwende’, and Nkulikiyimana Darryl Nganji.
Byiringiro Gilbert, Gitego Arthur, Hamon Aly Enzo Ishimwe Pierre, Niyomugabo Claude, Nshimiyimana Yunusu, Ruboneka Jean Bosco, and Kwizera Jojea are expected to join the camp tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Ishimwe Anicet is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, October 8.
Rwanda’s national team, Amavubi, will host Benin on October 10 at Stade Amahoro, and will then face South Africa away on October 14, 2025, in what will be their final match in the journey to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
