After nine years of living together as an unofficial couple, global football star Cristiano Ronaldo has made the decision to propose to Georgina Rodriguez, asking her to become his legally wedded wife. The news broke on August 11, 2025, when Georgina herself announced that she had accepted the proposal.
Georgina, who has roots in both Argentina and Spain, confirmed the news through her Instagram account, posting a photo of the engagement ring along with a caption expressing her joy and full acceptance of Ronaldo’s love.



The couple shares two biological children a 15-year-old son, Cristiano Junior, and a 3-year-old daughter named Bella. Altogether, they raise five children, including three others they are parenting together.
Cristiano and Georgina’s love story began in Madrid, Spain, where Georgina was working at a Gucci store. Since then, the pair has been seen together at various public events and often shares moments of their relationship on social media.
Ronaldo, now 40 years old, continues his professional football career with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. He holds an impressive legacy in international football, having won five Ballon d’Or awards, closely trailing Lionel Messi, who holds eight.
Throughout his career, Cristiano Ronaldo has played for top European clubs, including Sporting CP in Portugal, Manchester United in England, and Real Madrid in Spain where he had the most successful period of his career, winning numerous titles including the UEFA Champions League.
