Former Rayon Sports head coach, Roberto Oliveira do Carmo, popularly known as Robertinho, has taken the club to FIFA after being dismissed before the end of his contract.
According to a letter from FIFA addressed to the Rayon Sports management, the coach is accusing the club of failing to pay his salary for several months, including the period after his dismissal, as he was still under contract. Robertinho is demanding a payment of $22,500.
FIFA has given Rayon Sports 45 days to settle the amount. Failure to comply could lead to serious sanctions, including a ban from signing players in the international transfer market.
Robertinho was dismissed in April 2025 alongside Mazimpaka André following a poor run of form, with the team registering only 3 wins in 10 league matches. However, after his termination, he chose to pursue his rights through official legal channels via FIFA.
Robertinho is currently employed at Jeddah SC, a second-division club in Saudi Arabia
