The Sports Journalists team trounced the Rappers team, who were expected at the ‘Rap Room’ concert, in a match where Haruna Niyonzima made a surprise appearance.
It was a friendly match played on Thursday evening, December 18, 2025, at Zaria Court. This was not the first time the game was played, as it was also held last year to continue strengthening the good relationship between journalists and artists.
This time, the Sports Journalists defeated the Rappers 8-5. The goals for the journalists were scored by Rusine Didier, who scored 3 alone, Ephrem Kayiranga, and Gylain, while the Rappers’ goals were scored by Haruna Niyonzima, who scored 2 alone, Jay C, Mironko, and Zeo Trap.
Haruna Niyonzima, who is normally a football player, surprised everyone by playing for the Rappers in this match. He is not usually an artist but has previously collaborated on a song with Jay Polly titled “Wicika Intege.” Haruna Niyonzima said that he currently has five unreleased songs.
The “Rap Room” concert will feature various Rwandan rappers, including Riderman, Bull Dogg, Jay C, Bushali, Bruce the 1st, Logan Joe, Young Grace, Zeo Trap, Danny Nanone, Kenny K Shot, and Fifi Raya.
