Kicukiro Court Orders More Photos of the Child to Be Given to Idrissa and DNA Testing to Be Conducted

Kicukiro Primary Court has ordered that DNA testing be conducted on the child of Ishimwe Vestine and Idrissa Ouedraogo and that the man be given more photographs of the child, as he requested.

The ruling was delivered on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Kicukiro Primary Court in a case filed by Idrissa Ouedraogo against his wife, Ishimwe Vestine. He requested DNA testing for the child she gave birth to and an order requiring the woman to show him the child.

The judge said that Ishimwe Vestine’s side had agreed to Idrissa’s requests, including providing him with photographs of the child and conducting DNA testing in the child’s best interests.

The judge also said that Vestine had agreed to collect DNA samples from the child, Ishimwe Nollah, while in Canada and send them to Kigali to be compared with Idrissa’s samples.

The judge stated that, based on Article 48 of the Family Law and the agreement between the parties, the court had found Idrissa’s claim to be well-founded and recognized his rights regarding the child.

Kicukiro Court also ordered that more photographs of the child be given to Idrissa and that DNA testing be conducted.
