The heartbreaking news of Diego Jota’s passing, the striker for Liverpool FC and the Portugal national team, has sent shockwaves through the football community. Jota died on Thursday, July 3, 2025, following a serious car accident in Spain’s Zamora province, near Palacios De Sanabria.
On that day, he was in a car with his 26-year-old brother Adre when the accident occurred. After the collision, their vehicle caught fire, tragically claiming both of their lives.
