KIGALI – On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the Team Time Trial Mixed Relay took place in Kigali as the 2025 World Cycling Championships reached its fourth day.
This race concluded the time trial phase, with 19 teams made up of three men and three women competing over a distance of 41.8 kilometers.
The race started at 1:45 PM and followed a route through Kigali streets including KCC – Gishushu – Chez Lando – Prince House – Sonatube – Nyanza, returning via Sonatube – Rwandex – Kanogo – Mediheal – Women Foundation – Ku Muvunyi – and ending at KCC.
A total of 90 riders were registered for the race, representing different countries participating in the event that has been held in Rwanda since September 21 and will end on September 28, 2025.
This race is unique in combining men and women on the same team and awards points to teams and countries on the UCI international ranking.
It is the first time this mixed relay race has been held in Rwanda, while Kigali continues to welcome participants of the World Championships warmly.
