Artist and journalist, Uncle Austin, has resigned from Kiss FM after 11 years of working for the station since its inception in 2015.
Uncle Austin confirmed the news, indicating that this decision is related to another journey he is preparing for, which he will announce in the future.
He said: “I have resigned from my job at the radio, coinciding with the 11 years I have spent working for Kiss FM.”
He continued to show that it is not just about changing workplaces, but that he might also be making a major decision regarding his journalism career. He said: “I am thinking about retiring from the journalism profession; I will announce it in the future.”
11 years of visible contribution to journalism
Throughout his time at Kiss FM, Uncle Austin was one of the most important journalists at the station, hosting various shows that were loved by many.
He was well-known for entertainment programs, including the famous Kiss TOP 30, which featured the most popular songs.
He also played a role in organizing and promoting the Kiss Summer Awards, which honored artists and those in the entertainment industry who performed well.
Beyond journalism, Uncle Austin is an artist who has been in the Rwandan music industry for a long time. He has released various popular albums, including songs that were heavily played on Radio and Television and at various concerts.
Uncle Austin started journalism in 2005 working at different radio stations including Radio10, Flash FM, and KFM, which he left to join Kiss FM in 2014.
Besides journalism, Uncle Austin is an artist who is generally popular, especially for the songs he made in previous years.
