The Argentina national team will play a historic match in Angola as part of the celebrations marking 50 years of the country’s independence. The Angolan Football Federation announced that this friendly match will take place on November 14 at 5:00 PM at the 11 de Novembro Stadium.
The match was organized after several days of negotiations, with Angola reportedly paying 12 million euros, equivalent to over 20 billion Rwandan francs, to ensure Lionel Messi’s participation.
This will be the fourth time Messi will play on the African continent, following his visits to Gabon in 2015 and South Africa in 2010 and 2018.
