Music, as a borderless language, continues to bring together artists from Rwanda and Burundi through projects aimed at promoting regional talent. Burundian artist Kirikou Akili, known for the song “Aha Nihe”, is among those advancing this goal, as he announced that he is preparing to release new songs in collaboration with Rwandan artists including Bushali, Yampano, and Davis D.

He spoke about this during a press conference held in Kigali on October 16, 2025, which was aimed at preparing for the “Let’s Celebrate” concert that will bring together artists from both countries on October 19, 2025.
Kirikou said that this collaboration is expected to yield tangible results in strengthening unity and conveying constructive messages through music. He confirmed that such initiatives help regional artists expand their creativity and reach new markets.

He said: “Joining forces in music is very important. Artists from Rwanda and Burundi have a lot in common. We must take advantage of this in a positive way and build a deeper meaning of united artistry.”
At the concert, which is sponsored by Be One Gin, performances are expected from artists such as Ross Kana, Davis D, Bushali, Yampano, Diez Dolla, and Alto, while DJ Brianne will be in charge of mixing music.

Rugwiro Gaella, Deputy Director of Marketing at Be One Gin, said the concert is designed to give young people a purposeful way to enjoy entertainment. She stated that they will continue to support such events every month.
