A new study conducted by Moorgate Andrology Clinic, a medical center based in the UK and the US that specializes in treating genital conditions, reveals that many women are not satisfied with the size of their male partners’ genitals. The findings are based on a survey involving 180 women aged between 18 and 60.
According to the results, 90% of the women surveyed expressed a preference for a penis length of 19 centimeters when erect, whereas the average penis size among men in the US and UK ranges between 13 and 14 centimeters when erect.
David Mills, the director of Moorgate Andrology Clinic, stated that this is the first time data has clearly illustrated how women perceive the issue of penis size. He added that more women are now open to discussing this topic, which in turn helps men who may feel insecure about their size to seek medical options.

In recent years, techniques to increase penis length and girth have significantly advanced. These include procedures where fat is extracted from other parts of the body and injected into the genital area, as well as the use of medically approved implants and devices. Such procedures saw a 250% increase between 2019 and 2022 in the United States.
While the study shows that many women desire larger penises, medical professionals caution that size alone does not determine sexual satisfaction. Some women suffer from vaginismus, a condition where the vaginal muscles involuntarily contract, causing pain during intercourse. Around 17% of women in the US experience this issue. It is also more common among older women, particularly after menopause, as the vaginal tissue becomes thinner and more sensitive, which can make sexual activity painful.
Experts emphasize the importance of open and respectful conversations around sexual health so that couples can find satisfying and medically sound solutions together.
