Sugira Ernest Embarks on the Path to Becoming a Coach

Sugira Ernest, a Rwandan striker who has played for various clubs including APR FC, Rayon Sport, AS Kigali, and abroad for Vita Club in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Al Wahda Damascus in Syria, has now embarked on the journey to becoming a coach by starting coaching courses.

Sugira Ernest is one of the Rwandan strikers who will not be forgotten. He represented Rwanda in 2013 in a match where the Amavubi faced Benin.

Some of his unforgettable goals include the one he scored during the CHAN tournament held in Rwanda in 2016 when Amavubi played against DR Congo, as well as the goal he scored in 2021 during the CHAN games against Togo, which made Rwandans take to the streets in celebration—this was during the ‘Stay at Home’ period.

Currently, Sugira, who does not have a club, has started the journey to becoming a coach. The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA), through Instagram Stories that last 24 hours, showed that this player is undergoing ‘Licence D’ coaching training.

At present, Sugira Ernest is without a club, following a brief stint with Kiyovu Sports last year, which ended before he played any matches for them.
