Rayon Sports Confirms Three New Signings Including One Foreign Player

Rayon Sports is continuing to build its squad as part of its efforts to remain one of the top football clubs in Rwanda and the region. On Saturday, June 28, 2025, the club officially confirmed the signing of three new players, including one foreigner from Burundi.

Rushema Chris is no longer at Mukura Victory Sports

Among the new signings is Serumogo Ally, who was already part of the club but has now extended his contract for two more years. Also joining the team is defender Rushema Chris, who arrives from Mukura Victory Sports, where he spent the past two seasons. Rayon Sports had long been interested in signing him, but financial issues had delayed the deal. The two parties have now reached an agreement.

The third player is Gloire Tambwe, a midfielder from Burundi. He had been in Rwanda for a few days after being invited by Rayon Sports. He previously played for Musongati FC, one of the top clubs in Burundi. Reports from Burundi describe Tambwe as one of the best midfielders in the country, which likely influenced Rayon Sports’ decision to offer him a two-year contract.

Currently, the club, known for its blue and white colors, is still planning to bring in more players. Negotiations are ongoing with three foreign players — Drissa Kouyate, Mohamed Chely, and Rayane Hamouimeche — all of whom are already in Rwanda.

Rayon Sports is in preparation for the 2025–2026 season, aiming to perform strongly in all competitions, including continental tournaments.
