Students who excelled in different categories were recognized.

The results of students who completed secondary school have been released, showing that 89.1% of those who sat for the national exams passed, meaning nearly 9 out of 10 candidates earned marks allowing them to progress to higher education.

Out of the 106,418 students who registered for the national exams, 106,079 sat for them, representing 99.7% attendance a figure higher than in previous years.

Although the overall pass rate is encouraging, data shows a variation in performance across different types of secondary education.

In general education schools, the pass rate was 83.8%, the lowest among all education tracks.

In technical and vocational education (TSS), the pass rate reached 98.0%, reflecting the continued strong performance in skills-based learning.

In professional education, students passed at a rate of 89.8%, which is higher than the national average.

There was also a performance gap between male and female students. Boys passed at a rate of 93.5%, while girls passed at 85.5%, indicating a disparity that still exists between the two groups.

Kayonza District ranked first in performance, with a pass rate of 96.9%, followed by Kirehe (95.6%) and Rulindo (94.9%).

Students who excelled in various categories were awarded prizes in recognition of their efforts and achievements in academics.
