Itahiwacu Bruce Melodie, who grew up in Kanombe, heads to Kenya with the 1:55 AM team

The singer Itahiwacu Bruce, popularly known as Bruce Melodie, has embarked on an extensive media tour to promote his new single, ‘Pom Pom’, a collaboration with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz and Nigerian artist Joel Brown.

The artist, who hails from Kanombe as he often references in his music, departed from Kigali International Airport in Kanombe on the night of Thursday, January 22, 2026, heading to Kenya accompanied by his management team, 1:55 AM, the company that supports his music career.

The tour, branded as a ‘Media Tour’, aims to promote ‘Pom Pom’ across various media outlets. It started in Kenya and will continue to Uganda, Tanzania, the United Kingdom, Belgium, and other locations. Bruce Melodie is expected to perform in Belgium on March 7, 2026.

Before heading to Nairobi, Bruce Melodie explained that the ‘Pom Pom’ project is very extensive, which is why the team took time to carefully prepare before starting the media tour.

He said:
“The ‘Pom Pom’ project is very big. We had other preparations to complete to ensure everything runs smoothly. That’s why we hadn’t started the Media Tour earlier, but now it has officially begun. We will continue in Tanzania, Uganda, Europe, and other locations.”

The singer also revealed that another song has already been produced following ‘Pom Pom’, and it is expected to be released in the coming days.

He added:
“For all my fans awaiting new music, sometimes I even feel a little nervous myself.”
Bruce Melodie emphasized that launching this Media Tour is part of his strategy to expand his brand and promote ‘Pom Pom’, particularly in the East African region.

He also spoke about upcoming concerts with The Ben across Rwanda, noting that the plans have been discussed and agreed upon by both parties.
