After six years in a relationship with Naseeb Abdul, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz, Tanzanian singer Zuhura Othman Soud, known as Zuchu, has announced that they are no longer together and have initiated legal divorce proceedings.
Zuchu shared this news on Sunday, July 12, 2026, through her Instagram account, stating that she made the decision after the six years she spent in a relationship with Diamond Platnumz.
In her message, she stated: “I am sharing this with a heavy heart. After six years together, I have decided to focus on and take care of myself. Naseeb Abdul and I have separated, and we are in the process of divorce.”
Zuchu went on to wish Diamond Platnumz and his family the best, expressing that although it is not easy for her, she has accepted the life she has now entered.
She said: “I wish my former partner Naseeb Abdul and his family all the best. For now, I am going to take time to heal from wounds, take care of my health, and put my energy into my music. We tried to make our love last, but God has His plans, and there is nothing else I can do but accept it. This is life.”
In her message, Zuchu did not reveal what caused them to make the decision to separate, while Diamond Platnumz has not yet made any statement regarding the matter.
This news comes a day after their fans began wondering why Zuchu did not appear at the birthday celebration of Mama Dangote, Diamond Platnumz’s mother.
Her absence from the celebration sparked debates on social media, with some starting to suspect that their relationship was no longer in good standing.
Shortly before Zuchu’s announcement, a close friend of Diamond Platnumz who is also a Member of Parliament in Tanzania, Baba Levo, had announced that Zuchu was pregnant. However, Zuchu did not mention anything about that news in her statement.
The relationship between Zuchu and Diamond Platnumz has been a major topic of discussion for many over the past years. At various times, both had announced that they had broken up, but later reconciled.
Furthermore, last year, there were rumors that the two had a secret wedding after many years of fans suspecting they might have tied the knot, although they had never made any official announcement.
