Artist Gisa Cy’Inganzo Reintroduces Himself to Rwandans in a New Light at The Ben’s “The Nu-Year Groove” Concert

Long-missed artist Gisa Cy’Inganzo made a powerful return today, presenting himself to Rwandans in a new light. He shared that God transformed his life and story after helping him overcome drug addiction that had controlled him for a long time—an experience that ultimately gave him the opportunity to stand on stage once again at The Ben’s major concert.

He made these remarks while performing at “The Nu-Year Groove,” a concert by Mugisha Benjamin, popularly known as The Ben, held at BK Arena. This marked the second time Gisa Cy’Inganzo has performed at this large entertainment venue in Rwanda.

The artist performed some of his most beloved songs, including “Uruyenzi,” which thrilled and surprised the audience. Concertgoers showed that they still love and support him. He said he was deeply moved by the warm reception from fans, which gave him renewed strength to continue on his new journey.

Gisa Cy’Inganzo emphasized that everything he has achieved is thanks to God, who rescued him from the troubled life he once lived and granted him new opportunities. He said, “God changed my life. The way I was received today showed me where God took me from and where He has brought me.”

He added that he views these opportunities as a calling to continue transforming, to create purposeful music, and to serve as a positive example for others who may still be struggling with challenges similar to those he once faced.
