Renowned artist Diamond Platnumz has once again included Rwanda in his upcoming tour schedule, with a performance expected in Kigali on August 29, 2026.
This initially sparked confusion among music fans regarding which event he would attend and who the organizer was. Some speculated he might appear at the finale of the four-city Rwanda tour currently being organized by Bruce Melodie and The Ben. However, reports confirm that he will be participating in the “Friends of Amstel” concert rather than his own “Retro Tour.”

His upcoming visit to Kigali continues to highlight his status as a beloved artist in Rwanda, as this is far from his first time performing in the country. He first performed there in 2015 at the East African Party and returned in 2017 for Kigali Fiesta held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Nyamata.

In 2023, Diamond Platnumz performed in Rwanda twice more at the Giants of Africa and Trace Awards events held at the BK Arena, further strengthening his bond with his Rwandan fanbase.
His invitation to the “Friends of Amstel” concert is expected to thrill music lovers in Kigali, many of whom have been eagerly waiting to see him back on stage following his repeated acknowledgments of Rwanda as one of his most significant fan markets.
