Kitoko performed for Rwandans after 11 years

At the concert held at BK Arena on Friday, December 5, 2025, Kitoko Bibarwa returned in front of his fans for the first time since moving to the United Kingdom, finding Rwanda at a new level of development and progress in entertainment.

Kitoko, who had not performed in the country for 11 years, said he was surprised by how quickly Kigali had changed. He told the audience that what he saw gave him a clear picture of how far the country had come, saying, “You should be proud to be in this beautiful country, a country of peace, cleanliness, good governance, and wonderful people.”

The artist praised the way Rwanda has rebuilt itself, saying that development boosts citizens’ confidence and builds a society based on Rwandan values. He added, “I have known this country since 1994, I know where we came from, from nothing to this. But no country can develop without citizens who obey, respect laws, and love their country.”

On his first time at BK Arena, Kitoko said the venue represents the country’s good governance. “Today is the first time I am performing in this arena. I was overwhelmed when I arrived; this is an example of good governance. It is amazing to return and get lost in the paths here,” he said.

The concert, which was part of the launch of Davido’s album 5IVE, gave him a platform to reconnect with a massive audience and reinforce that Rwandan music continues to grow in both performance and popularity.

Beyond performing his well-known songs, Kitoko turned the stage into a moment to share his admiration for how the country has developed, showing a new side of himself as an artist who combines music with appreciation for his nation.

Returning to the stage in his home country, he appeared as an artist aware of the country’s progress and called for these achievements to be maintained through the cooperation of citizens.
