Yvan Muziki asked his partner Marina to marry him in front of a crowd that attended the launch of his new album titled “Inganzo Ntahangarwa.”
The major concert took place at Kigali Universe, featuring artists including Massamba Intore, Jules Sentore, Yvanny Mpano, Itorero Inyamibwa, Kidum, and others.
In his speech that touched many hearts, Yvan Muziki emphasized that at different times, he and Marina were rumored to be in a relationship, but they kept it a secret.
He said: “I was lucky to find someone I share the music profession with. She is the one I love. I have shown you my firstborn (Album), now I show you the daughter-in-law (Marina). Thank you for coming to support us.”
He mentioned that he had heard the stories saying he was dating Marina, but he ignored them because “the time had not yet come.”
As he was putting the ring on her, Marina first removed all other rings she was wearing before accepting her partner’s ring, which caused great joy and much applause from those who attended the concert on the night leading to Valentine’s Day.
The album “Inganzo Ntahangarwa” consists of 17 songs. Marina played a major role in it, both in songwriting and collaboration, and they have songs together on it.
On stage, Marina and Yvan Muziki sang songs they collaborated on at different times, and also performed other popular songs, confirming their partnership in music and in life.
The two were wearing clothes with matching colors for Valentine’s Day, which made the concert even more romantic and emotional.
Among the artists who performed was Kidum, who said he was happy for the step the two had taken. He also touched on stories that once spread saying Marina had surgery on her buttocks while in Nigeria, saying it once made him laugh a lot.
During this concert, Yvan Muziki gave Massamba Intore a gift of a hat, as a way to thank him for introducing him to music and supporting him since he started his artistic journey.
This is the first concert Yvan Muziki has held in Rwanda after more than 20 years in music. Although he hadn’t performed for his fans in the country for a long time, he continued to appear abroad, where he performed in Belgium and other countries.
