Superstar singer Robyn Rihanna Fenty and rapper Rakim Athelston Mayers, widely known as A$AP Rocky, have expanded their family once again with the birth of their third child, Rocki Irish Mayers, who was born on September 13, 2025.
On September 24, 2025, Rihanna shared a photo on Instagram showing the newborn dressed in pink, confirming the long-anticipated arrival of a baby girl. Rihanna had previously expressed her desire to have a daughter after welcoming two sons: RZA Athleston Mayers, born in 2022, and Riot Rose, born in 2023.
As A$AP Rocky revealed in an interview with ELLE Magazine in October 2025, the couple chose not to find out the baby’s gender prior to birth—just as they had done with their first two children. He said, “I hoped it would be a girl,” reflecting both his and Rihanna’s wish for a daughter after having two boys.
All of their children’s names start with the letter “R,” following the pattern set by both Rihanna and Rocky. This naming decision had been hinted at by Rocky during a May 2025 interview, where he confirmed that the third child’s name would also begin with “R.”
Rihanna first revealed her pregnancy publicly at the Met Gala on May 5, 2025, wearing a form-fitting dress that showcased her baby bump. At the time, she expressed her joy at no longer feeling the need to hide her pregnancy, marking a shift from how she had handled her previous ones.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky went public with their relationship in 2020, although their connection had long been rooted in friendship and musical collaboration. They previously worked together on performances like the Diamonds World Tour and the 2013 remix of “Cockiness (Love It).”
