After eight years without performing together on stage, Safi Madiba, Humble Jizzo, and Nizzo Kaboss met again as a trio ahead of the concert they will perform for their fans in Rubavu on August 1, 2026.
On the night between July 21 and July 22, 2026, Safi Madiba, who arrived from Canada, and Humble Jizzo, who came from Nairobi, Kenya, arrived at Kigali International Airport in Kanombe. They were received by their fellow Urban Boys co-founder, Nizzo Kaboss.
Speaking to journalists upon their arrival at Kigali International Airport in Kanombe, Humble Jizzo said that it was not only Rwandans who missed them, but they also missed performing together in front of their fans.
He said: “It is a great thing. As you said, eight years have passed. However, nothing has changed in terms of how people perceive us. In fact, we want to deliver even more than what we used to give them before. People missed us, and we also missed each other. When people who have missed each other reunite, you know the joy that fills them.”
Nizzo Kaboss stated that those who will attend the concert should expect great joy.
He said: “They should expect joy because we are happy too. We missed performing together with our fans and seeing them again.”
Asked whether their reunion would be followed by making new songs, Nizzo Kaboss said that detailed answers will be known after their concert in Rubavu.
He said: “Anything is possible, but let’s find out the rest after that.”
Safi Madiba immediately backed him up jokingly, saying: “What we will look like has not been shown yet. The main thing is that we are going to Rubavu; as for the rest, we are here, and if necessary, we will announce it.”
Among those who welcomed Urban Boys was Alex Muyoboke, who worked with the group for many years. He expressed his wish to see them release new songs again and organize various concerts.
